Meet Dr. Jeff Schmidt

Dr. Jeff Schmidt graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After graduation, he spent eight years practicing veterinary medicine in urgent care in San Diego, where he developed a strong interest in managing challenging and fast-paced medical cases.

Dr. Schmidt later moved to Temecula and joined Murrieta Oaks Veterinary Hospital, where he served as Medical Director. He eventually transferred to Butterfield Veterinary Hospital to be closer to home and his family.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Schmidt is a proud pet dad to three dogs, three cats, and 13 fish—so his home is rarely quiet! When he isn't working, he enjoys camping, fishing, going to the movies, and most of all, spending time with his two children, ages 6 and 9.

Dr. Schmidt is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care while building lasting relationships with his patients and their families.
